Drawing markup and capturing the view

Markup lets you draw directly on the chart to explain a finding, and Capture turns the current view into a shareable image.

Drawing markup

1. Click “✏️ Markup” in the Tools row.
2. Pick a draw tool: “↗ Arrow”, “◯ Circle”, “□ Box”, “✎ Pen” (freehand), or “T Text”.
3. Choose a color and a stroke width, then click-drag on the chart to draw (click to place a text note).
4. Use “↶ Undo” to remove the last shape, or “Clear all” to remove everything.

Text notes on more than one line

The text-note box works like the annotation label box: Shift+Enter inserts a newline, Enter commits the note, and Escape discards it. Clicking away commits too. Multi-line notes are drawn one line per row on the chart.

Editing drawings

“⌖ Select” is the first tool in the row and the one the Markup panel opens on. In Select mode, clicking a drawing selects it — a dashed halo and its handles appear, and a small toolbar floats just above it. The draw tools are unchanged; switch to one of those when you want to create something new instead.

• Move — drag the body of the drawing.
• Reshape — drag a handle. An arrow has one at each end. A box has four corners plus a midpoint on each side, so you can move one edge alone. A circle has four corner handles. Pen strokes and text notes have no handles; drag them to move them.
• Restyle — the floating toolbar holds the color swatches, a Stroke width picker (Size for text notes), and, for a text note, the note text itself.
• Delete — press Delete or Backspace with a drawing selected, or click the 🗑 button on the floating toolbar.
• Deselect — click an empty part of the chart, or press Escape.

Capturing the view

1. Click “📷 Capture” in the top view-toggles.
2. Choose “Download PNG” to save an image, or “Copy to clipboard” to paste it straight into a report or message.
