Keyboard shortcuts and chart gestures
A few shortcuts make Overtrace much faster once your data is loaded. Keyboard shortcuts are ignored while you're typing in a text box or dropdown.
| Space | Hide/show the channel sidebar and controls together to enlarge the chart |
| ← / → | Pan the time window left / right |
| Shift + ← / → | Pan by a larger step |
| Drag on chart | Zoom into the selected time window |
| Double-click chart | Reset zoom to the full view |
| Drag down channel list | Toggle many analog channels at once |
| Enter / Escape (in dialogs) | Confirm / cancel a label or prompt |
| Shift + Enter | Insert a newline in an annotation label or text-note box |
| Delete / Backspace | Delete the selected drawing |
| Escape | Deselect a drawing, clear the current measurement, or cancel an edit |
| Ctrl + = / Ctrl + − | Grow / shrink the cursor readout text |
| Cmd + = / Cmd + − (Mac) | Grow / shrink the cursor readout text |
The readout text-size shortcuts also accept Ctrl/Cmd with + and _, so you don't have to reach for Shift. Like every other shortcut here, they're ignored while you're typing in a text box or dropdown.
